Tips to Choose Good Quality Bags for Various Purposes

If you choose nylon remember the higher the denier, the more rugged the bag will be. 2520 denier is said to be the most durable nylon. This is used for duffel bags and rolling backpacks. If you like to choose leather bags, look for the full-grain or top-grain as these are the sturdiest ones. When it comes to a leather laptop backpack, full-grain can provide the maximum protection to your gadget. Polyester is the least durable of the 3 fabrics used in the making of the bag. Like nylon, polyester also gets sturdier with the increase in denier of the fabric. Polyester bags are best suited for infrequent travelers.
Handles
Most bags are equipped with a push-button handle that locks in two positions. Check if the thermo plastic handles have rubberized grip for comfort, and also check if the handles can be extended further to make it comfortable while rolling the bag. However, most handles look very similar and the difference in the quality of handles can best be determined only by the reputation of the brand.
Wheels
Wheels of bags are usually made of rubber or thermo plastics. They are quiet and wear like iron. Wheels that are slightly recessed into the frame last for a longer period. Bags equipped with four 360 degree rotation wheels are best for multi-directional rolling.
Zippers & Locks
Always look for large and oversized zippers and pulls because they tend to be sturdier and are great for a firm grip. If you opt for nylon zippers, look for self-healing zippers that can be set right in case they separate due to internal pressure. Also look for bags with TSA-approved locks as it can relieve you of your worries during the air travel.
