Elimination of plastic bags in the United States?
I’ve heard that San Francisco has already banned plastic bags from their city, and I’ve heard rumors that L.A. is planning to ban plastic bags by 2010. Do you think it’s possible that in the near future, the U.S. will ban plastic bags? I’ve also heard that oil is used to manufacture plastic bags. If this is the case, how much money can the U.S. potentially save? I appreciate all serious answers! Thank You!
I don’t support an outright ban, but since the Technology is there to produce biodegradable plastic bags, we should go that route. Not a perfect solution, but it seems the responsible way to go.
BTW, when I walk the dog I use biodegradable doggie bags.
